Donation Drive
Location: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Dallas Office
Dates: Flexible
Hours: Flexible Schedule
Volunteers: 5-20 (only group option for minors)
Description: The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ will provide a list of top requested items from clients that can be collected by the volunteers over a certain period. These items would be dropped off at our office for delivery to a family in need. (List of drive options available upon request)
Client Callers (Client Check-Ins)
Location: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Dallas Office
Dates: Flexible, must be during business hours
Hours: 2-4 hours
Volunteers: at most 10
Description: Volunteers will receive a 30-minute orientation before assisting different ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ programs with client check-in calls, supported by translators. They will document client concerns and share them with case workers to help ensure timely support and follow-up.
Bundle Builders
Location: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Dallas Office
Dates: Flexible, must be during business hours
Hours: 2-4 hours
Volunteers: at most 10
Description: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has storage units of misc. donated items to provide clients. We use
volunteers’ help creating easy-to-grab bundles of these items. You will meet at our storage space and create toy bundles for a certain age group, hygiene bundles, kitchen bundles, all from items we already have.
Seasonal Events
Location: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Dallas Office
Dates: Date Must be Set by ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡
Hours: 4-6 hours (depends on group’s task allocation)
Volunteers: Depends on the Event
Description: Volunteers help provide support during a seasonal event. We have a huge holiday event around Christmas time, World Refugee Day in the summer, Donation Drives throughout the year, and more.
New Roots Community Garden Volunteers
Location: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Dallas Office
Dates: Seasonal, as needed basis
Hours: Flexible Schedule, 3-6 hours
Number of Volunteers: 6-10
Description: Volunteers are needed to help in the New Roots Garden areas on Saturdays. Projects include harvesting vegetables alongside the gardeners for the farmer’s market on Sunday, filling out invoices to track harvests, sorting produce and helping with packaging.
Apartment Makeover Volunteers
Location: ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Dallas Office
Dates: Flexible
Hours: Flexible schedule, 2 hours
Number of Volunteers: 5-15
Description: Volunteers help gather, deliver, and arrange furniture and household items for a donation to a refugee family. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ will match you with a family and provide your company with a list of items to collect prior to the event. On the day of the event, a group of volunteers will deliver the donations to the family and help set up the home.
