In 2019, Colorado returned more than $1 billion in refunds to 1.9 million state taxpayers. In 2020, Coloradans who receive a state income tax refund will have a chance to donate all or some of it to a local nonprofit, including the ̽����ѡ in Denver.  

As Tax Day approaches, please consider a contribution to the ̽����ѡ in Denver. 

is a project of the Colorado Nonprofit Association and implemented by the Colorado Department of Revenue and Colorado Secretary of State. It’s the result of bipartisan state legislation enacted in 2018 that was sponsored by Sen. Lois Court, Rep. Jim Wilson, and Rep. Chris Hansen. If you get a state income tax refund, this new program puts you in control of deciding how much to donate and exactly which Colorado-registered charity will directly benefit. 

For the ̽����ѡ in Denver, this provides a new way to fund our ongoing work in the community. Whether you do your taxes yourself or use a tax preparer,  provides simple instructions for how to make sure your refund donation goes to your chosen nonprofit. 

It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3:

1. Decide how much of your refund to donate.
2. Enter ̽����ѡ and our registration number 20033004683 in the “Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund” line on your state income tax return or tax software – or just give this info to your tax preparer when you share your tax documents. 
3. Smile knowing you’ve helped ̽����ѡ in Denver continue to serve refugees and immigrants in Colorado.
