Volunteering, Interning, and Mentoring

Donating

Monetary Donations:

You can support refugees in our community by donating to the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Northern California. Your donation to the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Northern California will help refugees who have been granted sanctuary in the United States become self-sufficient, productive members of their new communities. .

Soft Landing Fund:

Refugees only receive a one-time allocation of $1,175 per person to cover initial resettlement expenses and this amount remains the same regardless of where in the country they are resettled. The majority of refugees arriving in Northern California are joining family members who are often not yet financially stable themselves. As a result, the refugees served by the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Northern California typically require additional financial support as they get on their feet in the United States.

You can help! The Soft Landing Fund provides housing and utility assistance for hard-to-reach, low-income, newcomer families and individuals. .

In-Kind Donations:

In-kind donations help provide a warm and welcoming home to refugees, immigrants, and survivors of crime & trafficking. Additional supplies, such as school and work bags, help provide families with the tools they need to integrate and achieve self-sufficiency. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Sacramento accepts the items listed below in new or good condition. All donations must be screened, approved, and coordinated with the Volunteer & Donations Team by emailing DonateSacramento@rescue.org.
