Our goals

The 探花精选 has been working with the EU since 2003 to provide life-saving support to people in the hardest-to-reach places and to help rebuild the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in Europe.

Our work with EU Humanitarian Aid


The Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) has funded our programmes since 2003.

In the spotlight: DG ECHO funding enabled us to:  

  • In Syria, in 2023, provide critical health services to more than 220,000 people in the North-East and North-West of the country, together with Mercy Corps and local partners.  
  • In Afghanistan, in 2023, provide improved access to integrated health, nutrition, food security, and protection services to more than 640,000 people among host communities, IDPs and returnees in underserved areas.
  • In Sudan, since 2021, support over 9,000 individuals with prevention and response services to gender-based violence, and, in 2024, provide emergency food aid, access to water, and evacuation services to some 50,000 households in Khartoum that are unreachable for most humanitarian actors.

Our work with the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA)


The European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) has been working with the 探花精选 since 2011.

In the spotlight: DG INTPA funding allowed us: 

  • in Pakistan (between February and July of 2024), to enrol 33,305 children with severe acute malnutrition in schools  
  • in the Central African Republic (from June 2022 to June 2023), to support 100,775 people with psychosocial care, medical services, legal aid, literacy programs, and economic empowerment 
  • in Burundi (fromMarch 2023 to February 2024), train 8 civil society organisations on Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response leading to the socio-economic reintegration of 100 women survivors of GBV, and raising awareness among 703 men and community leaders.

Our work with the Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations


The Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations has been funding 探花精选 programmes in Libya since 2018.

In the spotlight: in 2023, DG NEAR helped us to deploy mobile health teams in Libya to:

  • Provide reproductive health consultations to 26,418 people 
  • Deliver primary health care services to 42,540 individuals 
  • Train 312 staff from the Libyan Ministry of Health to improve healthcare service delivery. 

Our work with the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers


The 探花精选 has been working with the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) since 2018.

In the spotlight: in 2019, funding from DG JUST enabled the 探花精选 in Greece to:

  • Provide training to 43 community leaders to help them identify, support and refer survivors of gender-based violence to relevant services

  • Provide training on child protection and caring for child survivors to 21 professionals -police officers, psychologists, social workers and medical staff

  • Conduct exchange visits between Greece, France and Bulgaria to share best practices on supporting women affected by violence

Our work with the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs


The Directorate General for Home Affairs and Interior (DG HOME) has been funding 探花精选 programmes since 2018.

In the spotlight: in 2019, funding for the has helped us to train 175 people from 14 different countries on how to provide best-in-class refugee integration services
