For the many people forced to flee their homes, displacement throughout Latin America has become not just a singular experience but a recurring cycle of uncertainty.

In the face of the ongoing displacement crisis in Latin America, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ (̽»¨¾«Ñ¡) provides vital humanitarian assistance to people who need it in Guatemala and Mexico.

As part of a comprehensive regional project funded by the European Union (EU), the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has been delivering integrated protection services tailored to the unique context of each country. The EU-funded programmes have reached a total of 66,095 individualsin Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela (where the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ works through local partners) during the period spanning from May 2022 to May 2023.

On July 20th, 2023, as part of an online briefing on the , expert panellists from the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ and the EU discussed the displacement phenomenon in, through, and from Guatemala and Mexico.

Following the event, and based on the surveys answered by ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ programmes participants, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ shares key resources about the identified protection needs people encounter along the Guatemala-Mexico migration corridor.
