Since the Sudan conflict began in April 2023, millions have faced immense hardship. Through EU-funded ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ programs, Dr. Mogahed Ilkeet, himself displaced by the crisis, delivers life-saving care at Tunaydbah camp in Sudan, near the Ethiopian border. Among those he’s helped is Almas, who fled with her children and little else. With ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ support, her severely malnourished son is now recovering.

Following the release of the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡â€™s Emergency Watchlist 2024 in December last year, a list of 20 countries most at risk of humanitarian deterioration where Sudan was ranked number 1, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has produced a mid-year Sudan Crisis Alert Report to show the trajectory of the world’s worst displacement crisis, as an update to the Watchlist report.
