A crucial barrier to prosperity for many refugees is a lack of credit and access to financing. To meet this challenge, the ̽����ѡ launched the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO), which offers credit building, auto, personal and business loans. As of 2023, CEO made more than 6,000 loans totaling more than $25 million to refugees across 20 states.

“You don’t realize that you are impacting other people’s lives,” Christelle, a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, says of some of her first friendships in the United States.

“The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is look at the mirror in my bedroom and say, 'let's go hero, your day has started.'”
