In acute emergencies, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ establishes emergency water, sanitation and hygiene promotion programs, ensuring that life-saving services can be initiated efficiently. As countries evolve from emergencies to rebuilding, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ works to build stronger community and government oversight on improved water, hygiene and sanitation services, and maintenance of systems.

Since 2014, economic upheaval and political turmoil in Venezuela have caused over 3 million people to flee the country, and this number is likely to rise as the crisis intensifies.

For more than 20 years, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has been breaking down barriers that prevent gender-based violence survivors from disclosing violence and seeking services. We continue to work in areas that need it the most, which are characterized by insecurity, displacement and weak health systems.
