Boko Haram, the world’s deadliest terror group, has forced nearly 2 million people to flee their homes. In October 2017 ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ president David Miliband went to Borno state in northeastern Nigeria to hear the stories and the needs of Nigeria's most vulnerable people. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ is on the ground providing health and education programs, access to clean water and safe spaces for women and children.

In northeastern Nigeria, 14.9 million people's lives have been shattered by the war on Boko Haram. More than 60% of those in need are children like Aisha, who saw the terrorists kill her uncle. When 11-year-old Aisha fled her home, she also had to leave school behind.

A man-made hunger crisis in Nigeria
The war against Boko Haram, the world's deadliest terror group, has created massive displacement and famine-like conditions for 14.8 million people in northeastern Nigeria. Some 5.1 million people don't have access to sufficient food, and 2.8 million children are severely malnourished. If nothing changes, more than 200 children will die each day. This crisis is man-made, but the solutions are too.
