In crisis, the risk of GBV increases, and so does our collective need to act to prevent GBV before it happens or respond to the needs of women and girls when it does.

The Violence, Prevention and Response (VPR) unit implements programming that prevents violence against women, children, especially girls, and other vulnerable groups, and responds to it when it does occur.

In June 2024, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡â€™s Women Protection and Empowerment team and the Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) conducted a transformative five-day training in Iraq for the Women Peace Network (WPN). This ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ initiative, focused on strengthening leadership, advocacy, and decision-making, has empowered Iraqi women leaders to enhance their community impact and foster a unified approach toward women’s empowerment across the country.
