This report evaluates the “Opportunities for Equitable Access to Quality Basic Education” (OPEQ) program aimed at enhancing learning opportunities, academic attainment and social-emotional wellbeing for more than 480,000 girls and boys in three eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Our Education programs seek not only to improve learning, but also to achieve overall well-being. We believe that education during crisis and conflict is a necessity, not a luxury.

The ̽����ѡ’s education programming for primary school-aged children has three overarching goals: (1) to ensure that children enroll in and attend school regularly; (2) to protect children from all forms of violence in school and on their way to school; and (3) to build fundamental reading, math and social-emotional skills.
