For the second year in a row, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Wichita partnered with Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and Wichita State University SHIFTSPACE Gallery to host the #WelcomeHome art exhibit. The exhibit featured art created by refugees recently resettled in Wichita.

The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in NY gives thanks to its partners who supported refugee families this past fall with housing and continue to do so. ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ partners have supported clients by 1) securing household basics, amenities, and furniture, 2) participating in the hands-on move-in work, and 3) extending a warm welcome to families.

March 17 marks the 40th Anniversary of President Jimmy Carter signing the Refugee Act of 1980. Forty years ago, Congress passed landmark legislation with near unanimous bipartisan support creating a formal process for welcoming refugees based on humanitarian needs and U.S. interests.
