The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Dallas honored fifteen students at the 3rd annual Graduation Dinner & Robing Ceremony.

Returning back to in-person learning at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in NY’s Newcomer Youth Summer Academy (NYSA) has been a highlight for the Education & Learning (E&L) team. NYSA is a five-week program that prepares newly arrived refugee children and youth for success at their grade level in the New York City public school system. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in NY is thrilled about NYSA celebrating its 23rd year, bringing social-emotional learning, creative education, and a culturally responsive curriculum to each student. 

The inaugural Mini-NYSA program took place from April 11th – 14th, 2023 during the NYC DOE spring break week. An adaptation of NYSA (Newcomer Youth Summer Academy), the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in NY’s pilot youth program Mini-NYSA focused on building school readiness for two small student cohorts (11-14 years old and 15-17 years old).

We celebrate Pride month every June to honor the sacrifices of the activists before us and to recognize the progress made in advancing the rights of queer people everywhere, especially those who’ve been forcibly displaced.

Word spread quickly through the small Arabic-speaking community in Missoula this spring that after an almost two year wait, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ would be resettling a family from Iraq. Thanks to our community for stepping up to welcome them.
