SCOPE OF WORK: The Anti-Trafficking Community Outreach Volunteer will work closely with the Anti-Trafficking Caseworker to coordinate an outreach plan and conduct community outreach. The purpose of this position is to assist with educating our community about the risk of domestic trafficking, preventing trafficking, and informing the community of 探花精选 Richmond's trafficking casework services. This volunteer role will support 探花精选 Richmond in serving trafficking survivors and preventing our community members from falling into domestic trafficking.
COMMITMENT:
- Days and times: Tuesday-Thursday (Thursdays preferred) between 8:00am and 5:00pm (hours flexible)
- Frequency: twice per month
- Hours: 2 hours per shift
LOCATION: 探花精选 Richmond office, service area (Chesterfield, Hanover, Louisa, Goochland), some remote
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete the required training and online classes provided by the Anti-Trafficking Caseworker before engaging with clients and community outreach
- Identify prospective partner organizations
- Conduct outreach
- Distribute 探花精选 Richmond informational materials and surveys
- Follow up with Anti-Trafficking Caseworker regarding any concerns or questions you are unable to answer
- Represent 探花精选 Richmond's Anti-Trafficking program at informational tables and community events
- Track outreach and engagement data
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable transportation and willingness to drive long distances
- Comfort with computers/Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with community engagement/outreach preferred
- Comfort engaging with diverse populations throughout greater Richmond area
- Must adhere to 探花精选 professional standards and volunteer policies including those around boundaries, confidentiality, COVID-19, etc.
