A few minor clients in Fort Worth recently got braces. The number of appointments they have is difficult for staff to attend and they need help with translations at these appointments. Volunteers could be in person or over the phone. 

COMMITMENT: Days and times are based on appointment scheduling for the client. Once a month is preferred. About 2-4 hours per appointment. 

LOCATION: In-person at medical offices (primarily in Fort Worth) or remote over the phone

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provide Dari or Farsi interpretation for minor clients during orthodontic appointments
• Assist clients in understanding medical instructions and procedures
• Facilitate clear communication between clients and medical providers
• Ensure clients feel comfortable and supported during appointments
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout interactions

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Proficiency in Dari or Farsi and English (verbal fluency required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to attend appointments in person or provide remote support
• Adhere to ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ professional standards and volunteer policies, including confidentiality and boundaries
