SCOPE OF WORK: The Financial Capabilities Volunteer/Intern will assist clients with learning about U.S. financial institutions and systems, banking, credit, budgeting, taxes and other financial literacy topics. Volunteers will help refugees and other populations in becoming self-sufficient through classes that better help them maintain their own finances.

Turlock Office
Time Commitment:
Mon-Friday during the hours of 9-5pm for a minimum of 4 months.
Volunteer: 6 hours week
Intern: 15 hours week
Responsibilities:
- Assist with group financial literacy instruction and individual tutoring.
- Assist with planning field trips and activities.
- Actively participate in all classroom activities.
- Develop and expand financial literacy curriculum and activities as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Reliable and flexible.
- Willing to learn about 探花精选 history, philosophy, global work and local efforts.
- Willing to learn about cross-cultural communication and ethnic backgrounds of clients.
- Must adhere to 探花精选 volunteer and workplace policies.
- Financial knowledge, background in the finance, accounting, banking etc.
- Experience teaching or training preferred, but not required.
This position reports to the Financial Capabilities Coordinator.
- This is an unpaid internship.
- Work related driving is eligible for reimbursement at the charitable mileage rate.
- Internships are available for current college students, graduate students, and graduates less than 2 years post-graduation. Course credit and transcript notation are available if the student submits the appropriate paperwork to the Volunteer Specialist.
