The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Atlanta’s Resettlement, Logistics, and Employment teams are seeking volunteer drivers to transport clients from the airport, to orientations at the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Atlanta, and to important appointments. Volunteers are needed on a varying schedule as needs change each day/week.
Responsibilities
- Pick clients up from the airport and drive them to their new homes
- Transport clients from their homes to the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Atlanta for new arrival orientation
- Transport clients to and from pertinent appointments
- Deliver supplies to client homes
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation with ability to transport passengers
- Must be patient and comfortable working with refugees and immigrants from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have limited English proficiency
- Must have in person availability on at least one day between Monday – Friday
- Background check including driver history required
- Must submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Must track and log hours volunteered monthly via our online volunteer dashboard
Minimum Commitment
- 3 hours, at least once per week
