Thousands of refugees escaping violence and persecution travel along the Central Mediterranean Route – from sub-Saharan Africa, through Niger to Libya and some on to Europe. These asylum seekers face the dangers of the world's harshest extreme environments: the sea and the desert.

Nearly 100 asylum-seekers are arriving daily in Phoenix, fleeing violence and persecution in their home countries for the safety and freedom of the United States. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ (̽»¨¾«Ñ¡) and our partner organizations are providing critical humanitarian assistance to these families when they arrive, including food, shelter, and medical assistance.

Under ESS10, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ has developed a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP). The SEP summarizes the outcomes of 20 national and international stakeholder consultations conducted between October 2023 and March 2024. These consultations confirmed that the proposed budget activities align with Lebanon's existing needs and priorities, thereby affirming the project's relevance.
