This year, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in New York’s New Roots Community Gardens (NRCG) in Queens is celebrating its second year since its grand opening during the pandemic in 2021. The garden has come a long way, providing a safe space for members to make new friends, harvest veggies/herbs, and connect with the land. 

Every Tuesday afternoon, the New Roots Community Farm hosts a Farmers Market where neighborhood residents have the chance to buy the freshest vegetables in the Bronx.

The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Charlottesville offers a number of team oriented activities. These activities range from group work days at New Roots Farm to organizing a fundraising event. Gather a group of friends, family members, or co-workers and get involved!

This September, the New Roots Community Farm’s (NRCF) community members came together to rebuild the farm. This project consisted of transplanting new plants, weeding, and installing sturdier plant beds. The New York Restoration Project also joined the NRCF in these efforts to execute the rebuild. The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in NY sat with Sheryll Durrant, the Food and Agriculture Coordinator at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in NY, to learn about the impact of this rebuild and the vision of the NRCF as a whole.

It's our favorite time of year! The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Atlanta’s Youth Futures and New Roots programs are celebrating 10 ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ students graduating from high school in the Class of 2023!

The third annual Kite Flying Event, held at the picturesque New Roots Garden at Ellis Elementary, brought a wave of joy and unity to the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Denver's refugee community.

POWER (Providing Opportunities for Women's Economic Resilience) and New Roots are proud to follow all the graduates of the Food and Agriculture Job Training Program as they start careers and gain control of their futures. Almost all graduates go on to seek additional training or employment within the local food industry.

The ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Salt Lake City offers several group volunteer opportunities ranging from group work days at our New Roots farm or garden sites, helping out at the Goat Ranch, cleaning up Spice Kitchen and more. Gather your colleagues, friends, family or church group and get involved!

In an event hosted by the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in Sacramento, Sacramento’s Refugee Resettlement Agencies invite you to join us on Tuesday, June 20th as California observes House Resolution 23 in honoring the strength, courage, and contributions of refugees resettled in Sacramento! Come celebrate with food, drinks and family-friendly activities on the New Roots Farm in West Sacramento.
